Brief description:
This acacia wood hand was fixed to its coffin by two dowels. A hole drilled into the clenched fist signifies was for an attachment, perhaps an ankh-sign indicating life, or a djed-pillar signifying strength and stability.
The right hand of an anthropoid coffin, holding a djed sign. The wooden surface is plastered. The skin is painted red/orange. The pillar is black.
